Society Speaks Panel: Paving the Way

Join us for our Society Speaks panel! These quarterly events will feature prominent regional and local businesswomen and entrepreneurs.

Listen to panel members: Amy Rudy, Ebony Bartee,  Jenna Ahren, and Ashley Dearinger speak about their career journeys.

Amy Rudy is a seasoned sales coach, business strategist, and founder of Impact Sales Systems. Since 2007, she’s helped business owners and sales teams boost performance by focusing on the behaviors that drive consistent growth, actually contracting to results. Her entrepreneurial path began with ACR Computer Resources, a custom software firm she built from the ground up.

Ebony Bartee is a trailblazer at 30,000 feet—and on the ground. As Co-Owner and Senior Vice President of Recruitment for Equus Flight Academy, she’s not just elevating pilots—she’s rewriting the flight plan for representation in aviation. One of fewer than a dozen Black women in the U.S. to own a Part 141 flight school, Ebony is reshaping the skies with passion, precision, and purpose.

Jenna Ahern is the driving force behind Guardian Owl Digital and its AI-focused division, GO AI. Guardian Owl’s campaigns have garnered recognition in Forbes, Business Insider, and Business First, including the Best Data-Driven Campaign at The Netty Awards. Guardian Owl Digital offers a suite of services, including WordPress and Shopify website development, SEO, PPC, social media management, photography, and video production, all focused on helping companies drive quality leads from the internet. The agency is renowned for its “Honest SEO” approach, emphasizing ethical and effective strategies to enhance online visibility.

Ashley Dearinger is the Co-Founder and CEO of I Would Rather Be Reading, a nonprofit providing trauma-responsive literacy intervention and enrichment programs to students in under-resourced communities. Under her leadership, IWRBR has grown across Louisville, with free programming offered in JCPS schools and Parks and Recreation community centers. The organization serves hundreds of youth each year, removing barriers to access and supporting children both academically and socially. She is also the Co-Founder of IWRBR Consulting, a separate firm that partners with mission-driven organizations—including nonprofits, schools, and affordable housing communities—to design and implement high-impact out-of-school time programs in cities across the country.
