This month, Quint and Leah Pottinger will be joining us to speak about the art of making whiskey.

The Pottinger Family has been growing grain in central Kentucky since the spring of 1789, with each generation adapting and improving for the marketplace. While the market place has changed and the technology has drastically improved there is one constant: Whiskey. Just as there is an art to making whiskey there is an art to growing the grain that goes into a barrel. We are learning new practices and relearning old methods to raise the quality grain that will maintain consistency and influence flavor. We will discuss the journey that is steering the farm back to our roots to serve a new global demand of unique bourbon and what it takes to get it in the bottle.
