Live Music Fridays: Benni J

Let’s make some noise and kick off the weekend in the best way possible with the Live Music Fridays series.

Welcome newcomer, Benni J Smith, this evening. Smith began his jazz career as 2nd chair alto saxophone position in the Kentucky State University Jazz Ensemble. Now, as a saxophonist and vocalist, he performs and records instrumentally and vocally. Benni had the opportunity to open for the 2016 and 2017 Derby City Jazz Fest, the 22nd Annual Roots and Heritage Festival, and many more jazz and blues focused events.
