Something many don’t know is that the details of the complex relationship between these two men are known mostly because of the work of local, New York Times best-selling author Alanna Nash. Alanna’s book, “The Colonel: The Extraordinary Story of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley,” as well as exclusive interviews with Colonel Tom Parker and 45 years of learning and writing about Elvis, have established her as one of the top Elvis authorities in the world.

Within days of Elvis’ birthday – as well as a Frasier History Museum event dedicated to her book – Alanna will give us the inside scoop on the “real” Elvis-Colonel story, the liberties taken for the movie “reel,” and some of the King’s connections to Louisville.
